In &frankly, employees can either be a direct member of a group, or an indirect member from a subgroup.
With the filter “Direct members only” you can see aggregated results from users that are direct members of the selected group, and thereby filter out answers from subgroups below it.
This feature ensures that your direct reporting people, who usually are direct members of your top group, also get results to work with.
Example:
In this example, there are 12 people in total within the department. Four of them are direct members of the department, while 8 of them are members of one of the units.
When looking at the results, you first see the total results for the department but if you filter on “Direct members only” you’ll be able to filter out all answers coming from the subgroups, and thereby get results for the direct reporting people of the department.
How to filter results on direct members only:
1. Go to Results > Individual Questions.
2. Select a group in the "Who" section.
3. Select "Add Filter" and choose "Direct members only" and click on the button to add it to the filter.
4. Select a pulse and time period under the "What" and "When" section and the results for direct members only will be displayed.
