Where is all the data stored?
The data is stored by Amazon Web Services, a cloud service which uses servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Your data is our dearest possession, and you can rely on us doing just about anything to ensure it’s safe.
Can I request my data to be deleted?
&frankly act as a Processor and can only erase personal data upon a request from the Controller (your company). So, if you want to have your personal data erased please ask your &frankly administrator to remove it directly in your &frankly account or to send us an request.
Who owns my answers? &frankly, the organization I work for, or me?
Legally, the organization is responsible for your personal data, while &frankly is the personal data processor. Regardless of this, you always have rights to your own data. &frankly only collects information, in this case personal data, that the organization your work for wishes to have access to. Thus, it is the organization using &frankly who is responsible for the data we collect.
Is &frankly allowed to share data with third parties?
We are not allowed to share data to any third party (i.e. for research) unless the organization you work for explicitly asks us to. We may also not share personally identifiable information when reporting responses. This is to ensure anonymity when answering the questions.
How can &frankly use my data?
&frankly has no right to use data other than for what your company refers to based on the personal data agreement that your company has signed with us. &frankly may use the data primarily to provide the basic features in our service. &frankly may also use the data in a completely anonymized and unidentified fashion to develop new features and improve our tool and to generate aggregated statistics.
How long is &frankly keeping my answers?
We store personal data during the time your employer uses our services, or until you or your employer requests your personal data to be removed, i.e. if you would quit.
What happens to my responses?
The company’s purpose of using our employee surveys is to increase employee engagement and achieve improvements in the company. It can be achieved with the information you provide when you answer the questions that the company sends out through &frankly. The company and we hope for your participation, but it is completely voluntary and you may decline to answer and end your participation at any time.
Through &frankly, your answers are processed, de-identified and summarized along with other employees’ answers.
This is what the process looks like, see below picture for an illustration.
The organization that you work for sends one or several questions (eg: "How much do you love your job?" through &frankly, you receive the questions and answer them (eg: "Lots"). Your answers are registered in &frankly and available to you as your personal reporting.
Your answers are also collected by &frankly, anonymized and then summarized as an aggregated report. Your employer or the organization that you work for can take part in the summarized results and share to managers and employees.
