Question: If we are using a standard integration and want to do some custom changes to the group structure, can we do those changes through the Organizational API?
Answer: In this case it would be unnecessary to have both integrations since you will need to send the the entire organization structure in the API. As well as the specific users that should be connected to those groups.
Q: Will the role change from &Frankly UI will be overwritten by the API call/file service Integration?
A: The role and language change from UI does not get overwritten by the API call or integration.
Q: Is it possible to assign two managers to one group through file service integration?
A: The standard file integration currently only assigns one responsible manager per group. However, the ownerOf field can be updated form the UI to add two managers. This UI change also does not get overwritten by API call or integration.
Q: Is it possible to have some users and groups handled manually while some are handled via integration?
A: It is possible to have both manually handled users and groups as well as integration users and groups together for a customer. However, it is best to have separate tree for manually created/handled groups and let integration create a separate structure. It is to be noted that users and groups which are manually created should not be part of integration. If not, the users with same email will get updated with integration and some manual changes may get overridden. Incase of groups, this may result in duplicate group structures. Hence, it is always advisable to handle manually created users and groups separately.
Q: If there is a parent group created by integration and manually created subgroup, what happens to the subgroup if parent group is deleted by or not included in integration anymore?
A: Since the subgroup was created manually, integration is not aware of this group. Hence, this subgroup will not be touched by integration. However, when the parent group is deleted by integration, the subgroup gets detached from any parent group and remains as a separate group.
